The Mexican skull ring is a symbol of joyful defiance of death.

Designed by our team of experienced graphic designers and hand-finished by Italian goldsmiths, the ring is made entirely of 925 sterling silver. It is characterized by strong symmetry, with spherical eye sockets and a large central rose whose decorative petals continue to the sides like a crown.

Swirls, flowers and plant elements enrich the skull on the temples, jaw and forehead. Volumes and contrasts are emphasized by burnishing and polishing effects so that light, shade and shapes are enhanced.

LA CALAVERA MEXICANA

The ring represents Calavera, the protagonist of Dia de los Muertos. The ancient atmospheres of Mexican, Mayan and Aztec traditions are recalled.

REALISM OF THE ELEMENTS

Each element recalls the details of nature. The skull has proportions and elements that respect anatomy, as do the flowers, which are reproduced based on real plant elements.

Famous for its old school style, the Mexican skull is often represented with roses, marigold flowers, cobwebs and candles. Its inspiration comes from the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead, a continuation of ancient Mayan and Aztec traditions.

In this ring, the meaning of remembrance merges with that of cheerfulness. Life, represented by the flowers, wins over death, with the skull losing its frightening connotation. The “Calavera,” the Mexican Skull, can symbolize a person who is gone, but also a joyful and fearless challenge to the theme of death.
