In history, silver is considered the second most precious metal, after gold. Often used in alchemy, it covers important religious and cosmological symbols.
All our jewelry is made of 925 sterling silver-a certified alloy that is very durable and particularly malleable, perfect for making engraved and elaborate jewelry.
Silver does not cause allergies and does not irritate the skin. All our jewelry is "Nickel Free" and is certified 925 silver.
Did you know that silver is a very powerful antibacterial agent? Today it is used in the composition of bandages and medical creams.
Silver is a noble and precious metal that is extremely durable and has always been admired by all great civilizations throughout history.
Silver has excellent strength. But be careful: in high impact shocks it can break. In case of breakage, we at Feel No Pain guarantee the replacement of our jewelry.
This is typical of gold and noble metals: they are totally nonmagnetic. If you want to verify that your jewelry is real silver, just bring it close to a powerful magnet.
Silver, if care is not taken, is likely to oxidize. To prevent it just follow a few steps; in any case it can be eliminated easily with the use of some specific products.
Silver is a material that needs special care to avoid the effects of natural blackening on its surface.
It is a noble metal, and the so-called blackening is due to a surface reaction of the metal with certain agents in the atmosphere. Beneath that layer your silver is unaffected, so with constant maintenance and cleaning, you can recover your jewelry’s original state.
How to prevent blackening:
– Avoid washing your hands with jewelry
– Avoid contact with perfumes and cosmetics
– Avoid contact with chlorine or salt
To prevent your accessory from spoiling, we recommend that you remove it when you cook.
Avoid contact with cosmetics and perfumes-they contain substances that can accelerate metal oxidation.
To best preserve your jewelry, we recommend using velvet cloth instead of felt or buckskin.
The salt in sea water is a corrosive substance that can cause damage to rings, earrings or necklaces.
When you play sports, take off your jewelry. Sweating produces acidic PH, which promotes oxidation of silver.
We have a little secret to protect our jewelry from blackening and to keep its luster for a long time: rhodium plating.
It is a surface treatment, operated by electrolysis, that uses a salt of rhodium (hence the name), a very precious metal that belongs to the platinum family and helps safeguard our products from scratches and oxidation. It is a totally hypoallergenic material.
– CLASSIC RHODIUM-PLATING, a silver-like coloring is achieved, with a slightly whiter glaze.
– BLACK RHODIUM-PLATING, the most chosen, allows for a shiny black surface.
If the ring turns black, don’t worry-the oxide is just a surface layer of deposit that can be removed easily with products you can find anywhere. The silver alloy remains intact.
Be careful, though: if you have rhodium-plated jewelry, remember never to polish it.
